Gasp Riders 2019

Executive Director Kathryn Carpenter and Board Member Gabriella Bonfim Moraes are both riding in The Gasp this year to support literacy on Cape Cod. See what they have to say about the ride below.

You too can help to support them and our important cause by donating to them and other CCLC riders at the CCLC Team Riders page. Better yet, sign up to ride with our team by selecting the Join option on the signup page.

CCLC will pay your entry fee and provide you with a team jersey!

I ride to support all of the ambitious  students who I have seen succeed  as a result of their hard work.
I ride to support the volunteers who give so much of their time and talents to help others reach their educational goals.
The atmosphere on ride day is filled with camaraderie; a true celebration of the giving spirit and our supportive community. Of course the lunch, boat ride and clam bake are fantastic too! Plus –  the CCLC team rocks!

As someone whose English is not her first (or second) language, I appreciate first hand how learning a language can benefit you both cognitive and socially. The Cape Cod Literacy Council, by teaching English to hundreds of people in Cape Cod, enables them to have a better chance in life as well as gain a deeper understanding of their own culture. Fundraising for this institution is the least that we can do to help them in this marvelous endeavor.
